- Regulatory News 5/2007
I know, typically this is a boring topic. However, in April a Federal Appeals Court vacated a Securities and Exchange Commission rule that previously exempted broker/dealers from SEC registration. Financial Planners are cheering! Brokers who collect a fee for advice to customers will now be required to register with the SEC. Does this mean a level playing field for consumers?
