The following article, although lengthy, seems an appropriate follow-up to the recent posting on the US’s dismal efforts at creating an energy policy. I had a couple of thoughts after reading…1) how difficult investing in “green” technology can be. Toyota stock down by 36% over the past year! And, as the article points out…despite the much-hyped Prius, just how green are they anyway?? And 2) while the gyrations of the Dow gain headline coverage, in the long run this type of “news” is insignificant compared to the ramifications of a world INCREASINGLY dependent on a destructive and dwindling resource.
