The FINRA Mutual Fund Expense Analyzer

E-mail Print PDF

Gretchen Morgenson's article, Unscrambling the Alphabet of Fund Fees, in last weekend's NY Times has a very useful link to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's fund analyzer. This tool allows you to compare the costs of various funds and share classes. It holds returns and time period constant so that you can see the direct effects of embedded costs on your investment. In my article "Grid Lock: Is your Financial Future Already Boxed In" I show the results of a three way analysis for two Morgan Stanley Europe funds and a Vanguard Europe fund.
